Members are encouraged to review the proposed changes to the Lower Yakima Valley Association of REALTORS® Bylaws.
The Lower Yakima Valley Association of REALTORS® (LYVAR) has prepared proposed Restated Bylaws for member review. These revisions are intended to update the Association's governing documents, clarify membership and leadership procedures, and address changes in organizational operations and requirements.
The proposed revisions cover several important areas, including membership qualifications and responsibilities, officer and director elections, Board governance, financial obligations, professional standards, and membership voting procedures. The document also addresses updated requirements related to the National Association of REALTORS® and Washington nonprofit corporation law.
Reviewing the Proposed Changes
To make the review process easier, LYVAR has provided a copy of the proposed Restated Bylaws showing changes from the current 2019 Bylaws. Underlined text identifies proposed additions, while struck-through text identifies language proposed for removal or replacement. Unchanged language remains in regular type.
These changes are proposed and have not yet been adopted. Members are encouraged to carefully review the document, become familiar with the proposed revisions, and share any questions or concerns with the Association.
Your Membership. Your Association. Your Voice.
